Great entertainment every weekend!! The old ship Inn is an old fashioned Real Ale House located in the town of Brighouse in Calderdale, West Yorkshire. Built from the strong wood of a 101-gun First rate ship of the line in the Royal Navy named the 'HMS Donegal'
The HMS Donegal was commissioned in 1858 and has sailed the

world over and has been involved in many battles and missions all over the world. The last Confederate ship during the American civil war, the 'CSS Shenandoah' Surrendered to our HMS Donegal and took the Flag and parole of all the officers and sailors. The Donegal was sent back to land in 1923 and was broken up for its valuable timber which became the bones of The Prince of Wales Inn which in the year 2007 was renamed The Old Ship Inn to rekindle the honour that may have been forgotten of this great vessel. The Old Ship has gone through 3 Landlords and ladies who are all fantastic characters and the most friendly people you could ever meet since its opening but has always managed to deliver impeccable service and ale to the masses throughout the years and the current business is ran by Mr H.
