Thank you to everyone who has messaged us about the position available. We have been inundated with responses and will get back to everyone individually. We have offered a young chap a trial shift this coming Friday, based solely on him being the first to message. It’s lovely to see so many youngsters wanting a little job. I was 13 when I got my first job as a ‘gofer’ in a pub and loved every minute.

Term time Hours

Every Friday 4pm - 6pm

Every Saturday 2pm - 6pm

Extra hours will be available during school holidays (within local council bylaws)

We loved Dave. He was always a joy to have in the bar. His support over the road and here meant the world to us and he’ll be missed terribly. Sending our deepest condolences to Bridget and family.

O P E N I N G T I M E S

Sunday to Wednesday - Midday ‘til 10pm

Thursday to Saturday - Midday ‘til 11pm

Since returning from our New Year’s break we’ve been opening a little earlier to serve teas and coffees. Though the coffees have gone down a storm and we’ll continue to serve them throughout the day, we’ve decided to revert back to our original opening time of Midday. This far better suits our shift patterns.

We’re also going to test the water by closing at 10pm Sunday to Wednesday as our customer base is mostly late afternoon - early evening socialisers. We will continue to open until 11pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

We appreciate our trading hours have had a few alterations, but as we approach our 2nd birthday we’re still figuring out what works best for our little bar.

Big changes ahead! Our beloved Sam is leaving us at the end of the month, to start a new chapter in London.

We’re excited to welcome 2 new faces to our team with part time positions becoming available to ebullient, charismatic bar pros. You will be required to work weekends as well as the odd mid week evening.
