A very sad day day for us and our lovely customers the sportsman pub has now closed for good. Unfortunately the building has been sold by the owner despite been a excellent and popular pub and thanks again for everyone's support

Well it's been one year today since Debbie and myself re opened. It has been a great year we have got some really great customers and have made some really good friends. And we would like to thank them for their help and support in keeping the sportsman going and growing. It's such a shame to see so many community pubs like the sportsman closing up and down the country they are the soul of any town.So here's to many anniversaries to come. And come along tonight and help us celebrate with a bit of live music and song

Great news John & Debbie are pleased to announce that the sportsman has been taken off the market and is no longer for sale. This means that we can plan for the future so we are looking for pool,darts and men's skittle teams. We would like to thank all our customers for their support and look forward to seeing everyone for a long time to come
