Due to losing some certain access on our usual page, we have had to make a new page for The Fortescue House Club.

We would like to ask you all to like, follow and share our new page, this will keep you up-to-date with everything happening with the club. All of our content will be posted on this new page from now on.

*** NEW SUNDAY OPENING HOURS ***

Don’t forget, as if this Sunday (2nd August), we will no longer be open between 12-3pm. The club will now be open from 4pm until close from now on.

*** WE WILL BE OPEN FROM 7PM ***

We don’t usually open on a Wednesday, but to continue the support of the England Squad as they take on their old rivals Argentina, we will be open for the Semi Final on Wednesday night.

We will open from 7pm, with the match scheduled to kick off at 8pm.

A massive thank you to Phil for continuing to work these matches.

We will see you all Wednesday night for what is undoubtedly going to be match with everything, just hopefully no Hand of God!!!

*** IMPORTANT NEWS REGARDING SUNDAY OPENING HOURS ***

As most of you know, the opening of the club between 12-3pm on a Sunday has been covered by committee members for a considerable time now on a purely voluntary basis and free of charge to the club.

Unfortunately this has recently become unsustainable. Because of this, the committee discussed how we could move forward with the resources we have open to us. It was unanimously decided that from August 2nd 2026, the Sunday trading hours will be changing. The 12-3pm opening times will cease. Instead the club will extend the evening opening hours and we will now be open from 4pm. The new opening time of 4pm will still be covered voluntarily by a committee member.

The committee understands this is a decision that some may not agree with, and the decision was not taken lightly. We thank you all for your understanding.

Just a gentle reminder that as of this years membership renewal, the new price of joining/renewing your membership will be increasing to £10 per year.

This was voted in at this years AGM in February by the members of the club, and brings the membership fee back up to the pre-Covid fee.

We are looking for members of the club to join the existing committee to help make decisions in the running of the club.

As you all know, the club is a safe and friendly that is enjoyed by a wide variety of members. We need like minded members to join the committee to help move the club forward and continue to be an integral part of the Braunton community for many years to come.

Due to a recent reshuffle of the committee, we are now in need of a Club Secretary, this is a key role in the running of the club and you would be involved in the running of the club as well as taking part in committee meetings helping to make decision to move the club forward.

Come and join us for a pre match warm up from 8pm Saturday night, with kick off scheduled for 10pm.

Enjoy Carlsberg at a refreshing £3.50 per pint also from 8pm.
