The Wheatsheaf - A freehouse owned by Chris and Claire, proudly sits on the village green serving a The Wheatsheaf in Braunston dates back to the early 1800's.

Over the years the pub itself has been extended to form what it is today. Proudly standing on The Green it has a great location in the centre of the village opposite the Village Hall and only a short walk to the local Fish & Chip shop, Village store, Butchers, Hairdressers and the wonderful Braunston Marina. The pub plays host to various teams during the week for pool, darts and traditional Northa

mptonshire Skittles. We have regular food pop ups, live music and host to other events. We (Claire and Chris) bought the pub in March 2016 and extend a warm welcome to the whole of Braunston and all who pass by or through.

Can you actually believe the forecast for the weekend! I’m not sure how long we’ve been waiting for sun on a Bank Holiday Weekend - but it feels like it’s been FOREVER!!
Saturday night we have a fab band Black Neon Fuzz joining us for the first time at the Sheaf! Playing a range of stuff from the 80’s to the 00’s! Starting around 8:30-9ish
Sunday promises to be interesting in the football 👀
Will Tottenham end up going down!!? Catch the action at 4pm ⚽️

It’s world Poker day - good timing for the start of the next season in our Redtooth Poker League tonight, and marks the one year point for us hosting it here at the Wheatsheaf ♥️

𝖠 𝖭𝖮𝖳𝖤 𝖥𝖱𝖮𝖬 𝖴𝖲.... 𝖯𝖫𝖤𝖠𝖲𝖤 𝖱𝖤𝖠𝖣 🥹
For just over the last 2 years we apologise for being so poor on social media, slow in replying to people, not always being present, and maybe just not being ourselves
As many did know our (Claire & Kirsty) mum Fiona was diagnosed with Motor Neurone disease. We supported/cared for her and lost our Nana along the way in 2025. We sat by her side and held her hand as she slipped away on Saturday 7th February 26. We’ve been silently negotiating our grief whilst trying to maintain some normality at the Wheatsheaf. So thank you for your patience.
Claire is running (well attempting to!) the London Landmarks half marathon on Sunday and definitely needs some encouragement (both verbally, written or in the form of a donation 😉). She is running to raise vital funds needed for an MND charity called My Name’5 Doddie foundation. If you could spare anything to sponsor it would be gratefully received.

End the day with a live DJ set by Denise Van Outen and a complimentary ride back to the Wheatsheaf for around 9.30pm. You MUST be available for the whole day to enter.
