PLEASE NOTE, THERE IS A NEW SITE PLAN BELOW!
Not long now until our fireworks display, and our helpers are busy setting up the area. To help you on the night, here is a map of our grounds. The area will be fenced off for the event, with three entry gates operating to get you in as quickly as possible. Cash and card will be taken in all areas, including the fairground.
Access details to car parks in FAQ's below. Please try to arrive early if you are coming by car (the bar will be open and our prices are NOT event prices, they are comparable with local pubs). Our gates open at 5.30.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THE ROADS ARE KEPT CLEAR FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES, AND PLEASE RESPECT OUR NEIGHBOURS BY NOT BLOCKING THEIR DRIVEWAYS.
There will be a separate till operating at the bar for soft drinks only, and another at the BBQ for hot drinks only.
If you require disabled parking and a wheelchair viewing space please arrive early and if possible contact us in advance (you must bring a blue badge). Contact via messenger please.
Please support the club by buying your glow toys from us. They will be cheaper than those sold on the street, and every penny goes to our junior section.
The fairground is inside the display area, so you need buy entry tickets to the display to access the fairground. They are independant to us, and we do not know the price of rides (last year they were £3 and £4).
There are 4 Portaloos in front of the clubhouse (3 ladies, 1 gents). There are 2 further ladies toilets and gents toilets/urinals in the clubhouse, entry next to the outside bar.
If you are bringing small children who are likely to run off, you can collect a wrist band from our sweets and glow toys stall to write your telephone number on. Just attach it to your childs wrist and if the become lost we can quickly reunite you.
The clubhouse is members only, and entry will be restricted.
PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE RUGBY CLUB REGARDING THIS EVENT. ALL CONTACT SHOULD BE VIA OUR FACEBOOK MESSENGER PAGE.

A: 5.30 for the funfair, food and bar, but you can arrive any time after that. The funfair, food and bar all stay open after the display
Q: What time does the display start?
A: The bonfire will be lit at around 7:45pm, with the display starting at around 8:00pm.

A: No, it is entry on the gate only. If for any reason the display does not go ahead, you won't have lost any money!
Q: Can I pay buy card
A: Yes, you can! All areas will accept a card, but the correct cash on the gate will get you in quicker
Q: Are the rides included in the price of the ticket?
A: No. The fairground is run independantly, not by the rugby club. If you have any complaints regarding the fair, please address them tomorrow someone on one of the rides, not to Braintree RUFC stewards.
Q: Will I be able to buy a drink from the upstairs bar?
A: Sadly, no, unless you are a member of the rugby club. But there will be an outside bar operating until late.
Q: Do I have to pay for parking?
A: No, just for your tickets. We have two car parks. One entered along Beckers Green Road, the other via the Marks Farm Tesco entrance to the estate, through Dunstable Drive and Claypits. We get very busy, so please make sure you allow plenty of time to park. Please also allow plenty of time to leave, and remember to be courteous to our volunteers running the car park.
Q: Will there be disabled parking?
A: Yes, we have space for blue badge holders, but you must show your badge to a steward on arrival. To guarantee a disabled space please arrive early.
Q: Is there an area where wheelchair users can watch the display?
A: Yes, we have a dedicated area inside our pitch barriers for wheechair uses. Again, please arrive early.
Q: Can we bring our own food and drink?
A: Sorry, no. Only food and drink purchased on site can be consumed at our event.
Q: Will you be selling glow toys?
A: Yes - the junior section of the club will be selling glow toys and sweets at very competitive prices inside the event, with all profits going back into junior rugby. Please do not buy from private vendors outside the event. Your support in this is greatly appreciated.
Q: What if my child wanders off while we are at the display?
A: Whilst at the glow toys stall, ask one of our lovely helpers for a free wrist band, write your telephone number on it, and put it on your childs wrist. Should you become separated, your child can show their wrist band to a steward or a volunteer on one of the stalls, and they will ring you.
Q: What happens if I need First Aid whilst at the display?
A: We have trained medics on site who will look after you should you need them. Just look for the ambulance near the club house or speak to a steward.
Q: Can we bring our own sparklers and fireworks.
A: Sorry, no. In order to keep you and our other guests safe, no sparklers or fireworks can be brought onto our premises.
Q: When is last entry?
A: We do not have a last entry time, but please be aware that if you are arriving by car and come late, you may not park in time to see the display.
The weather is looking good, and we are looking forward to welcoming. Please remember, no sparklers. Stay safe.
