We recently received a review suggesting that the pub is in need of renovation

Whilst we appreciate everyone’s opinions, we thought we’d share our own.

There aren’t many traditional pubs left that haven’t been heavily modernised, and we have no intention of changing what makes ours special. We love the wooden beams, the leather seating, the floral upholstery and all the character that comes with a pub that has been licensed since 1872.

That doesn’t mean we stand still. Over the years we’ve invested in the areas where we feel improvements enhance our customers’ experience, including modernising our beer garden and introducing our food truck.

What we don’t want to do is lose the charm, history and atmosphere that makes this pub what it is. We believe traditional doesn’t have to mean tired. Our priority is keeping the pub clean, welcoming and full of character for everyone who visits.

We’re proud of our old pub and everything it represents ❤️❤️
