REOPENING DATE CONFIRMED 8 MAY 2026

We are thrilled to be reopened The Cross Guns for the summer season on 8 May 2026.

Order your drinks in the pub (11:00 - 20:00 Weds, Thurs & Sun; 11:00-21:00 Fri & Sat) and food from the deli shack (11:30-19:00 Weds - Sun) on the terrace.

The pub kitchen will be out of action for the season (see below) so we are unable to take table bookings. Instead, all food will be ordered and served from the Deli Shack on the terrace.

RESTORATION UPDATE
The retaining wall to the kitchen in the pub, revealed when the asbestos stud wall was removed, is in need of major repair. It has been assessed by engineers and we are awaiting their report and recommendations for a long term repair and solution. This will also require listed building consent and we intend to carry out the necessary works over the winter months whilst we continue to restore the building back to its former glories.

In the meantime, we are unable to use the pub kitchen, so a limited food menu will instead be served from the Deli Shack for this season. This means we are unable to take reservations.

PUMPKINS - Enjoy the various pumpkins, squashes and gourds in the pub this week, thanks to the garden team.

Treats, not tricks, await you before we close our doors for the year at 6pm on Sunday so be sure to grab your pint before then.

From Monday 3rd November the pub will be closed over the winter months as we undertake much needed building maintenance and kitchen renovations to reopen in Spring 2026.

Burgers, chips and light bites - perfect for enjoying with a pint or two alongside the views! Vegetarian and plant based options available too, as well as salads and nibbles for a lighter bite.
