WE’RE HIRING: PART-TIME COOK WANTED! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

Following the recent refurbishment of our kitchen, The Stratton Arms is looking for a reliable, enthusiastic part-time cook to join our village pub team!

We run a focused, quality menu celebrating traditional pub favourites including: classic hearty pies, freshly baked pizzas, and a simple children’s menu. If you love serving honest, delicious pub grub and take pride in running a spotless kitchen, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

* Preparing and cooking our pub menu (pies, pizza, children's classics, and specials)
* Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene, and kitchen safety
* Part-time hours (including evening and weekend service)

What We’re Looking For

* Previous kitchen/cooking experience in a pub or casual dining setting
* Knowledge of standard kitchen compliance paperwork (temperatures, allergen management, opening/closing checklists) is a strong advantage
* Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate preferred
* A calm, organised approach during busy services and a great team attitude

We’re back open! 🍻✨

Thank you so much to everyone for your patience over the last few days while we had some essential works carried out down in the cellar. The taps are flowing, the lines are fresh, and we’re ready to pour you a proper, crisp pint!

A couple of exciting updates from around the pub:

🌳 Children’s Play Area: The team is putting the finishing touches on the outdoor play area, and it should be all wrapped up and ready for little adventurers by the end of this week!

🍽️ The Kitchen: Work behind the scenes is coming along nicely - we’re aiming to have the kitchen officially open and serving next weekend. Keep an eye out for menu details very soon.

In the meantime, the bar is stocked, the welcome is warm, and we can’t wait to see you all. Pop in and say hello! 👋🐾
