Reminder of date change for BYO Vinyl's November date, it has been moved from Sunday 1st November to Sunday 8th November to allow everyone time to recover from Halloween!

Last month saw the return of 'Back To The Bear' with Chris Wheatley & Matty Richards delved into their personal collections to re-start these events with a bang!

Next up we have another incredible DJ, returning to The Bear and the south coast for us once again, Paloma Ivanova (.fm). Having previously played for us opening our Summer of Love and for Halloween in 2025 and also alongside DJ partner Alfie as Liminal People when they headlined The Bear over easter weekend earlier this year!

Paloma will be back behind the decks at The Bear Saturday 14th November diving into her personal collection of records to give us an insight to her world of music. Expect plenty of Jazz, Soul and Boogie with plenty of Bulgarian influences throughout. Palomas set's connect people to the music and this will be no different, connecting the dancefloor with the sounds of her personal collection...

Just over a week to go until our penultimate comedy evening of the year!

A Bear Walks Into A Bar... Comedy Night
Wednesday 4th November - 8pm (Doors Open 7pm)

Joe Fortis is joined by Paul McCaffery, Des Grant, Zak Lacey & Archie Brettle in what's set to be another incredible evening of comedy at The Bear

Multi-award winning comedian Paul McCaffery will be headlining the evening, he has performed four critically acclaimed Edinburgh shows, as well as major music festivals: Reading, Leeds, V Festival, Bestival and Latitude.
Paul is the co-host of the smash hit podcast ‘What’s Upset You Now?’ with fellow comedian Seann Walsh, as well as staring on BBC Three’s Impractical Jokers and Russell Howard’s Good News, Comedy Central’s Stand Up Central, Channel 4’s 50 Funniest and CBBC’s The Dog Ate My Homework. In 2019 Paul also made his debut on BBC flagship stand-up show Live at the Apollo.

Joined by fellow award winning comics Des Grant & Zak Lacey, and the up and coming Archie Brettle returns for a proper set with us on the evening.

Wight Bear Live & Outsider Artists Presents - I Am Kloot's John Bramwell
Sunday February 21st 2027 - 7pm (doors 6pm)

John actual needs little introduction....

Bur as the singer in I Am Kloot from 1999 to 2014, John Bramwell achieved a Mercury Prize nomination for 2010’s The Sky At Night, a Top 10 chart position for 2013’s Let It All In, numerous UK and European tours and a triumphant farewell at the Queen Elizabeth Hall with an orchestra in 2014.

Now, as a solo artist, Bramwell travels a very different path, a path that criss-crosses the length and breadth of the UK with a humble agenda of taking his heartwarming songs to the stage and enjoying another moment in time with his devoted fans.

This is gonna be a very special evening..
