Apparently today is National Tell Everyone About Their Sunday Roast Day.

Ours was supposed to be done about 10 o’clock this morning, but unfortunately we’ve had a coffee machine swap-out, a leak from the offices above us, and all the other little joys of running a restaurant.

So Simon is just sitting down now to actually do this. 😂

Our Sunday Roast returns this Sunday, funny enough.

Two courses £25
Three courses £30

Proper Sunday lunch, plenty of gravy, and all the good stuff that makes Sunday feel like Sunday again.

Now, if the algorithm could kindly put this in front of someone who is hungry, local and currently thinking “we should probably book a roast”, that would be lovely.

It's Bank Holiday weekend.

It's the last week of the summer holidays.

We've got new bifold doors that work.

Of course the weather is looking pants.

We're trying to remain optimistic that you'll still come to see us but here's a reminder of what our plan is in case you needed to know.

We have plenty of lovely indoor and outdoor seating for you to enjoy some much needed time with friends and family. We're throwing in a 2 for £15 spritz offer for the whole weekend. We're open Monday as an extra day (as long as the weather stays looking nice for that). Two courses for £25 for all the lunchtimes.

We would like to formally apologise for the rain.

After waiting many, many, MANY weeks for our replacement bifold doors (we’re fairly sure they were being made for an episode of Grand Designs at this point), they were finally installed yesterday.

Obviously, today it rained.

So, on behalf of everyone at Urban Garden, we accept full responsibility. 🌧️

But here’s the thing…

THE NEW DOORS ARE OPEN.

Because we have waited long enough. Because summer isn’t going to wait for us. And because apparently we’ve now reached the stage of being the sort of people who open brand new bifold doors in the rain just because we bloody well can.

So come and sit by the garden, watch the rain, enjoy a drink, eat something lovely and admire our extremely expensive new weather feature.

Poppy’s homemade brownie is genuinely made by the lovely Poppy, at home.
