The name The Pear at Parley is rooted in the history of the land we call home. Dating back to Anglo Saxon times, “Parley” is believed to translate to “Pear Tree”, a nod to the abundance of pear orchards that once flourished in the area.

Today, we proudly carry that heritage forward through our name, celebrating the rich history, natural surroundings and welcoming spirit of West Parley.

From seasonal dining to special celebrations, remains a place for people to gather, connect and create memories, just as this corner of Dorset has done for generations.
