Here’s to the coming season from London Owls!

The London Owls were out in force in the capital today for a highly successful ‘summer get-together’. It was great to see so many members - both old faces and new - for the gathering, which was held at the Wild Swan, Thornbridge and Co’s pub in Fetter Lane, Holborn. Thanks to you all for coming and we hope you all had an enjoyable time, with plenty of optimism and positivity on the menu for the new season … not to mention a beer or two in the London sunshine!

Fans smash season-ticket sales record

Wednesday's season ticket sales for the 2026-27 campaign hit a club record 20,908 today. It is less than a month since tickets for the new campaign went on sale and, after a tremendous early response from fans, new chief executive David Bruce set a target of trying to hit the 21,000-mark. Then came the news today of the record-breaking figure and now we are agonisingly close to achieving 21,000, with the deadline for the first phase of sales on Monday, at 5pm in-store and midnight online.

Trio on international duty

Pierce Charles played the full 90 minutes as Northern Ireland went down 3-1 to France in a friendly in Lille this evening. Charles saw plenty of action as, not unexpectedly, the home side dominated the match before flying off to the World Cup as one of the pre-tournament favourites. Two Michael Olise goals either side of half time put France in control and, although ex-Owls loanee Shea Charles set up Patrick Kelly to make it 2-1, Olise completed his hat-trick 15 minutes from time when he curled into the top corner of the net from the edge of the box....

Wednesday’s pre-season schedule

The Owls have released details of our pre-season plans ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The players return for routine testing at the end of this month, followed by a week’s training at Middlewood Road. They then travel to St George’s Park on July 6 for a further six days of training, culminating in a friendly against West Brom on July 11....

Owls players in friendly action

Wednesday keeper Pierce Charles played the opening half for Northern Ireland in their 1-0 friendly win over Guinea on Thursday evening and they take on World Cup-bound France in another friendly in Lille on Monday night. Will Grainger came on for the second 45 minutes as Wales under-19s defeated Qatar 2-0 in a friendly in Valencia yesterday. The squad now face Sweden in a second friendly on Monday as they prepare to host the under-19s Euros, which begin on June 28....

Dates for the diary …

With Hillsborough season ticket sales for next season now having topped the 17,000 mark inside two weeks of launch … here’s a few upcoming dates for the Wednesday diary. The division one fixtures will be released at midday on June 25, ahead of the league games kicking off between August 14-16. The Carabao Cup first round ties will be staged the previous week, being played from August 7-9....
