Junior Spotlight: From Crazy Golf to Breaking 100

Albert’s love of golf began at the age of six after a game of crazy golf inspired him to try the “real thing”. Fast-forward a few years and he’s already collecting trophies, lowering his scores and setting himself some exciting goals for the future.

Albert started with lessons at Worldham Academy, having fortnightly golf practice with a group of children his own age, before joining Milford Golf Club in Surrey in May 2025, where he gained his first handicap of 38. Alongside club golf, he enjoyed competing in the Hampshire Foundations nine-hole competitions, playing courses across the region, including Dibden, Barton on sea, Cams Hall, Mad Swans, Wellow Golf Club and many more.

You can read more about Albert's golf journey in our Pro Shop Newsletter.

We always welcome feedback from visitors to Blackmoor and were delighted to receive this glowing review from Mark Kenyon and his golfing partners from Burhill Golf Club, who recently enjoyed a fourball at Blackmoor.

“Four golfers from Burhill GC played today, what a glorious golf course in superb condition. Compliments to the ground staff, a real test of golf. I would add, one of the nicest pints of London Pride I have had in years and sausages that tasted like they were made by hand and not from a factory. Overall outstanding, we will be back!”

Thank you to Mark, we look forward to welcoming them back to Blackmoor soon. ⛳
