There are truly no words for how heartbroken we feel.
For 24 years our family has had The Oak, and in that time it became so much more than a pub.
It was birthdays, anniversaries, charity nights, retirements, laughter, tears, and everything in between.
The Oak was our second home, and our customers became our extended family. We looked after each other, supported each other, and created something special that can never be taken away.
To every single person who walked through those doors – thank you. We wish you all the very best from the bottom of our hearts.
But let’s be clear – this didn’t just “happen”.
This was the result of decisions made by people who showed no care for the community, the livelihoods, or the years of hard work behind this place.
You didn’t just close a pub – you tore the heart out of a family and a community.
And that will never be forgotten.
