Beer Day Britain is a celebration of the UK's brewing heritage - recognising beer's longstanding place in our culture, the pubs that bring communities together, and the craftsmanship behind every pint.

Cask ale remains central to that story. A living product, conditioned in the pub cellar and served with care, it represents one of Britain's most distinctive contributions to brewing.

Today is about raising a glass to the people, places and practices that keep that tradition alive.

The Red Lion in Winfrith is back open and ready to welcome you ✨

Following a major refurbishment, this beloved local favourite has reopened its doors, blending its refreshed dining space with the same character and charm that has made it a favourite gathering spot for those in Winfrith, Dorset, and beyond.

We are excited to support Business Partners Rob and Alex and see the next chapter begin for a pub that plays such an essential role within its community.

Happy 249th Birthday to us. We’ve marked the occasion with a brand-new, limited-edition Founder’s Day ale, celebrating the moment our story truly came together.

Inspired by the union of Hannah Dodge and George Edward Woodhouse in 1847, this year’s release (Hannah and George Edward’s Kindness) is a bold, bottle-conditioned IPA with bright citrus notes and a nod to Edward’s transatlantic spirit.

While most bottles are shared with our teams, as a thank you and part of our annual birthday celebrations, a limited number are available exclusively from our Brewery Shop in Blandford.

As we look ahead to 250 years next year, we’re raising a glass to the people and moments that shaped us!

We're delighted to share our 2026 Impact Report, celebrating another year of making a positive difference in the communities we're proud to be part of. 💛

Pubs are one of the few places people can come together, and our houses sit at the heart of the community.

We support charitable organisations and contribute to local neighbourhoods. In 2025 we donated £900,000 to charity, equivalent to 10% of our profits.

Providing jobs, careers, and opportunities for people is another way that we enrich our communities, and indeed how we’ve created our own H&W community too.

This year's Impact Report focuses directly on our purpose and tells the story of how we connect with and support the communities we're proud to be part of.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Community Chest initiative, and to celebrate this huge milestone, we’re offering the largest ever Community Chest fund to date. £80,000 is available to support local charities and community groups! 💛

These volunteer-led organisations sit at the heart of community life, from tackling food poverty to supporting young people and helping reduce isolation.
