🛠️ A message from us at Y Meirion 🛠️
When River and I arrived at Y Meirion back in February, we came with one simple aim: to help make the Meirion even better for the local community.
Other than knowing Delyth, and having visited this beautiful area many times over the years, we didn’t really know anyone. But after our very first visit to the pub, we knew straight away that this was the community for us.
Since then, we have met so many amazing people. We have felt welcomed, supported, and accepted in a way that has honestly meant the world to us. That welcome has only made us even more determined to do our very best for Y Meirion and for the community around it.
Over the past few months, we have been working hard behind the scenes. We have been finding and booking music acts from across Wales, with live music planned every Friday night from August. We have continued the pub’s support for our amazing Morris dancers, and we have started supporting our ladies football team too. We are also looking forward to welcoming our darts team back later this year.
There are many more exciting events and ideas being worked on in the background, and we would love to hear from anyone who wants to organise nights, groups, clubs, or community events at the pub. Y Meirion should be a place where people feel they can come together, share ideas, and feel at home.
We are so proud to be the caretakers of your pub.
As the refurbishment takes place over the next three weeks, we also want to encourage everyone to continue supporting all our local pubs and clubs. Community only works when we all support each other.
We can’t wait to welcome everyone back after the refurb and show you the next chapter for Y Meirion.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all the wonderful people of this amazing community for supporting the pub, for welcoming us, and for making us feel accepted.
Diolch o galon i chi gyd.
Welwn ni chi’n fuan.
The pub. The people. The community.
That’s Y Meirion.
