August 15th we take on Rumney Cardiff at Glan Yr Afon park 🔴⚫🟡

The club are delighted to announce that Gareth Bisp will take on the role of Club Development Manager for the coming season.

Gareth will work closely with all sections of the club to upskill our convey belt of players and support coaching staff throughout.

His experience and passion for developing players is something we are excited about and he aims to ensure a pathway for all players to believe in and grow to become long term senior players at the wood ❤️🖤💛

🏉 Blackwood RFC Papyrus 7s Touch Tournament – Supporting a Great Cause 🏉

Join us for the Blackwood RFC Papyrus 7s Tournament on Saturday 11th July 2026 at Glan Yr Afon Park for a fantastic day of rugby, community spirit, and fundraising in support of PAPYRUS Su***de Prevention Charity a charity very close to our heart.

With over 12 teams competing, live music from Band of Brothers, raffle prizes, a BBQ, and fun for all ages, it promises to be a brilliant day out for the whole family. Gates open at 12:00 PM, with games kicking off at 1:00 PM. Entry is £3 at the gate, and children under 10 go free.
Come along, support your local teams, and help raise awareness for an important cause.

"Blackwood RFC wish to express its sadness at the recent death of Margaret Williams. Margaret was a member of the Club's Ladies Committee during the 1980's and 90's and was a true character who will be sorely missed. The Club would like to offer its condolences to Simon, Nicky, Gareth and family”.
