Blackwood Golf Club Blackwood Golf Club is a 9 Hole Course situated on the northern edge of the town, overlooking The Chartist Bridge. Clubhouse is available for private functions.

It is a Member’s club but visitors are permitted to play. Contact Mike Watkins 07870154007 Blackwood Golf Club is located in the beautiful Welsh town of Blackwood, Caerphilly, and offers a 9 hole parkland course totalling 5332 yards that will challenge golfers at any level. All of this is accompanied by a pleasant bar offering food and beverages. We also cater for a variety of events such as weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and funerals. we pride ourselves on the service we provide. Deciding on the menu is just the start and we are here to help make sure that your event runs smoothly. Coffee & Caps: Justin Tipuric…What a night!🙌☕️🏉

And while it was called Coffee & Caps… there were definitely far more beers than coffees! 🫣

There was plenty of rugby chat, plenty of stories and, most importantly, plenty of laughs all night!

We raised awareness and money for the Jolly Brew Crew, thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who attended, our guests and everyone who got behind the event. Jack very kindly joined us, and we hope that some of the audience members make an appearance at their next meet tomorrow 🙌💚

A massive thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a memorable evening. A special mention to club captain Dr Graham Williams for being an excellent compere 🎤

Wonderful evening at Blackwood Golf Club in conjunction with Green and Ground . Fantastic to have the opportunity of listening to Justin Tipuric share his experiences of playing for Ospreys, Wales and the British Lions. Jack Griffiths was also in attendance to outline the work of the Jolly Brew Crew. Thanks to all the members and visitors who made it such a memorable evening and raised almost a thousand pounds for such a worthwhile initiative.

Congratulations to John Cox on winning the 2026 Club Championship for the 5th time. He shot 70 in the morning followed by a level par 66 in the afternoon to win by 4 shots from Oliver Williams. Oliver won the A M Reed-Gibbs Memorial trophy for best 36 hole nett by one shot from Lewis Potter with a score of 129. They can be seen being presented with their trophies by club captain, Dr Graham Williams.
