🍽️ WE’RE HIRING – Kitchen Assistant / Hospitality Team Member 🍽️
📍 The Rising Sun, Blacko
🕒 Approx. 30 hours per week | Thursday–Sunday
We’re looking for an enthusiastic young person aged 16–18 to join our team and gain hands-on experience in a busy pub kitchen.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about food, interested in kitchens and eager to learn, with the opportunity to gain experience in food preparation, plating dishes and learning how a busy kitchen operates.
The role includes:
• Supporting the kitchen team with food preparation
• Learning how dishes are plated and presented
• Washing up and helping keep the kitchen clean and organised
• Assisting during busy service periods
• Learning kitchen standards, hygiene and stock organisation
• Occasional front of house duties, such as serving food
We’re looking for someone who:
✔ Is keen to learn and develop kitchen skills
✔ Has an interest in cooking, food or hospitality
✔ Wants to learn food prep, plating and how a professional kitchen runs
✔ Is reliable, hardworking and willing to get stuck in
✔ Takes pride in cleanliness, presentation and high standards
✔ Wants to gain experience that could help build a future career as a chef or in hospitality
✔ Works well as part of a team and stays calm in busy periods
✔ Is looking to become part of a small team and grow within the role
Experience isn’t essential — attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn are far more important. Training will be provided.
This could be ideal for someone studying catering/hospitality, wanting experience, or hoping to build a career in kitchens.
