A brief history of The Royal Oak.

The Royal Oak Pub sits nicely on the corner of Royal Oak Avenue and Pleckgate Road, in Blackburn Lancashire.

Dating back to the year 1764, The Royal Oak has seen many generations of visitors, customers and families come through its doors to sample its quality beers - but more recent generations know the Royal Oak for being a key “watering hole” on the famous Revidge Run!! Sadly, the Revidge run is no more following the closure of most of the pubs on the run and the future looked bleak indeed for The Royal Oak itself when the brewery decided to close the doors and actually board it up in Autumn 2014. It was at this point that a small team of locals teamed up to rescue The Royal Oak and save it from extinction!
