Yep… we’re having a Children’s Halloween Party this year! And it’s going to be a spooky, creepy, fun-filled morning! 🕷️🦎🐍

💙💛 GOODBYE, HUDSON! 💙💛

Tomorrow, we say goodbye to our Overseas Amateur, Hudson Walshaw, as he heads back home to Adelaide. 🇦🇺

Hudson arrived at Cherry Tree as a cricketer, but he leaves as a huge part of the CTCC family — and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a nicer bloke to have around the club.

On the field, Hudson made a massive contribution to our 1st XI, scoring 503 runs and taking 21 wickets across the season. Whether with bat or ball, he gave 100% in every game and played a huge part in so many of our matches.

But Hudson’s contribution went far beyond his performances on a Saturday.

🏏 He coached our juniors, particularly our All Stars
🏏 He coached our Women’s team and travelled with them to away games
🏏 When he wasn’t playing, he’d happily umpire for our 4th XI
🏏 He helped countless players around the club develop their game
🏏 And, most importantly, he became a central figure and a much-loved member of our club

Hudson leaves a massive hole at Cherry Tree, but we’re incredibly grateful for everything he has given to the club, both on and off the field.

We hope you have an amazing time back home and can kick on with West Torrens District CC. 🇦🇺🏏

You came to Cherry Tree as a cricketer and leave as part of our family. 💙💛

Thank you for everything, Hudson. You’ll always be welcome back at Cherry Tree, so don’t be a stranger!
