THE POPPY HOUSE IS OPEN! 🌿

After a little soft launch on Friday, a rather busy Michaelmas Fair Saturday, and a Sunday spent ironing out the odd little detail (and probably drinking far too much coffee ☕️)… we think we’re finally ready to tell you about it!

The Poppy House Café is officially open! ☕️

For now, you’ll find us Wednesday–Sunday, 10am–5pm, serving coffee, cake and a selection of bagels.

And from Friday, we will be launching our full menu, just in time for the weekend — bringing you brunch, bagels, coffee & cake in the heart of Bishop’s Castle. 🥯☕️🍰

So pop in, say hello, grab a coffee and enjoy our wonderful little café in the heart of Bishop’s Castle. 🌿

Job Opportunity – Front of House Hotel Team Member

30–40 hours per week

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our Front of House team at The Castle Hotel, Bishop’s Castle.

Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not essential. We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a professional and growing business, with excellent prospects for career development.

The role will include:

* Bar service
* Food service
* Hotel reception and administration
* Taking restaurant and hotel bookings
* Providing outstanding customer service throughout the hotel

The ideal candidate will be confident multitasking, enjoy working in a busy environment, and take pride in providing a warm and welcoming experience for our guests.
