This weekend they hit the road for their first event and in a couple of weeks they've bagged a pitch at a music festival! 🎶

🌳 A GREEN TREE UPDATE – LOOKING TO THE FUTURE 🌳

We’re really pleased to announce that we have now agreed a long-term deal with Greene King, meaning we look forward to welcoming and serving you all at The Green Tree for the foreseeable future. 🍻💚

Since taking over, we’ve tried to build draught and non-draught ranges that offer something for everyone – from good-value everyday favourites - to something a little more premium.

One of the risks we took was bringing Asahi to the bar. It’s not widely available on draught locally for a simple reason: it’s very expensive for pubs to buy in!

We currently sell a pint of Asahi at what is effectively a break-even introductory price, because we wanted our customers to be able to enjoy what we think is one of the best draught la**rs around without having to travel to Durham or Newcastle to find it.

It’s therefore been brilliant to see so many of you choosing Asahi as your premium l***r. You’ve made it clear that it deserves to stay on the bar. 🇯🇵🍺

Unfortunately, with significant cost pressures, some of our products (including Asahi) are no longer at sustainable prices.

🍻 OUR ANNUAL PRICE REVIEW

Now that we have entered into a longer-term tenancy, 1 October will also become the date of our annual price review across the bar.

We take our role as a community pub seriously. We want everyone to feel welcome here, and we believe that includes keeping draught prices reasonable.

We’re also committed to being fair and transparent about pricing. Costs continue to rise across the industry, including RPI inflation and increases in alcohol duty. Wherever reasonably possible, we will absorb those increases ourselves rather than simply passing them on to our loyal customers.

However, we will have to make some modest adjustments from 1 October, but keeping a good range of quality products at fair prices will remain our priority.

Thank you, as always, for your incredible loyalty and support. We would not be able to have the privilege of running your pub without it. Good Times Grow Here. 💚🍻

OPEN AT MIDDAY TOMORROW.

Thank you so much for all your custom today, and your patience when queuing at the bar; it’s been exceptionally busy and our staff have just been exceptional.

Well done to all those who braved the rain to enjoy all Green Tree Fest had to offer! Tomorrow we are open from 12pm and the weather forecast looks a lot better so why don’t you treat yourself to a few drinks in the sun to end the last bank holiday before Christmas.

Weather is looking to be a bit drizzly but everything is still going ahead as planned. Bring a jacket & your bucket hat and have a great time!
If the weather does take a turn, then we'll just take the fun indoors 🥳

Today is also the last day of Birria Street Kitchen. being our resident street food vendor... Let's give them a class final day here and wish them luck as they plan on travelling around to feed you fabulous people 🌮🫶🏻
