The bar is open from 4 today with NICHE playing live at 8pm and the bar is open from 12 tomorrow. ❤️ I'm sure there'll be some drink offers on too before we close for the last time 😉

Hey everyone,

This isn’t an easy post to write. Even though I’ve only been part of The Barley Mow Pub - Birtley for the past six months, it’s been a truly special time — and that’s entirely because of all of you.

Sadly, the pub will be closing its doors on Sunday. It’s a tough moment for everyone who’s poured their time, heart, and memories into this place.

In just half a year, I’ve met some of the kindest, funniest, and most genuine people I could hope to work with and serve. You welcomed me in like I’d been here for years, and that means the world.

If you can, come by for one last drink, a laugh, or just a proper goodbye. We have a band on tonight and are open tomorrow to say goodbye to our amazing football lads Birtley United F.C

October Live Music!!
We've already seen the amazing Steel Blue playing at The Barley Mow Pub - Birtley on Saturday just gone. How can we top that?
Well, we can but try.
We have 3 more bands/singers to look forward to.
This Saturday 11th October, we have the fantastic NICHE
Saturday 18th, we have Giroscope, and our final act for October on the 25th, we have Sean Hainey Music returning. 👏 What a month!!
