It’s Monday. I think. Or at least that’s what the calendar say’s. We’re open - which is a rarity for any Monday - lunch and dinner, and we have availability throughout.

We’re also open tomorrow, a Tuesday, I think, also for lunch and dinner.

A reminder that this week looks slightly different to usual with the following opening hours;

Today - dinner only
Tomorrow - lunch only, standard menu
Monday 29th - lunch and dinner
Tuesday 30th - lunch and dinner
Wednesday 31st - special NYE lunch

We have some availability for all services.

It’s the last week of service before Christmas and this is absolutely not a Christmas pudding. We have nothing against Christmas puddings but our last shoot was in November and there is zero chance we would make a Christmas pudding back then.

This week! Two new A La Carte dishes (octopus with tamarind chilli glaze and chicken with pearl barley), and a new snack (tartare of beef with beef fat terrine and egg yolk). Availability all week, including limited numbers for our special Christmas lunch on the 21st. Delicious drinks and a Wham! free zone.

Join us for the following special set lunch on New Years Eve;

- Smoked cod’s roe tart, dill, lemon

- Beef fat terrine, Hereford beef tartare, confit egg yolk

- Chicken liver parfait, kumquat, white chocolate, with brioche and chicken fat brioche.

- Roscoff onion, blue cheese, chive, mash

- Cornish turbot, tempura oyster, kombu buerre blanc

- Highland venison, cranberry, parsnip, juniper and port sauce

- Champagne sorbet, green apple, brioche crumb

- Bearwood Honey parfait, quince, toasted hay ice cream

£125 per person including a welcome glass of fizz

We have tables available in the restaurant tonight and tomorrow. Not the walk-in bar area that I’ve been banging on about of late, but the restaurant bit at the back; that chilled oasis of food with a view of the kitchen and not Waitrose.

That said, if looking at Waitrose is your thing we can also do walk-ins for the bar area.

Same delicious A La Carte menu either way. Same brilliant wine list. Same top-class service.

We’re only ever as good as the team in the restaurant, and we’re exceptionally lucky to have a great team who all support each other and pull in the same direction.

A La Carte menu is flying right now. It’ll be on all weekend, which looks busy in the restaurant though has plenty of room for walk-ins in the bar area.

The pork’s a relatively new dish to the menu. Ours is Gloucestershire Old Spot, a breed known for its sweet and creamy flavour. We serve it with burnt apple, cavolo nero, and a killer cider and marjoram sauce. It’s a dish founded on comfort and flavour.

We open for the week again tonight. Delicious food and great drinks if you’d like to swing by.
