The FP Expeditionary Force continued their triUmphant excursions beyond The Far Post with a first trip of the year to the close-to-Um manor of Selly Oak and a visit to a few of it’s popular watering holes - namely a debut visit to 'The Bear and Staff' along with ode haunts 'The Bristol Pear' and 'The Soak Bar & Grill' - to Soak up a bit more froth off The Post before the not-so-Far amble back Um! 🐻🍐🪣 🍺🚶‍♂️

As the last stage of their UK visit approaches and 'Daughter of The Post' having already moved on to her Um town and Farmily, with a final 'hurrah' (along with some froth being blown off a couple!) we bid a fond Farewell to 'Son of The Post'... until next year, at least! 👋❤️💙

As their visits end draws ever closer, The Landlady & Landlord joined the Son & Daughter of The Post at the neighbouring Farborne watering hole of the Old House At Home, Greene King Pub & Carvery for beverage & scran, prior to a return to The Post for a very pleasant evening and a subtle reminder of Um!🍺🍽️😋

The first sunny Saturday of Autumn saw a steady afternoon of froth and footy, consisting of some Quality Control duties whilst observing some proper F.A. Cup football and monitoring the rest of the days play, with a couple of favourable results, to boot!🍺⚽️🥾

With no Farther excursion undertaken, Master Stephen popped in to assist The Landlord with some more housekeeping duties along with Quality Control checks of our Bomber's Brown Ale and copious cuppas, while The Landlady waited patiently for her tay!🧹🪣🍺🥘

🚶‍♂️‍➡️🚶‍♀️‍➡️ Stroll And Gift 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
Taking advantage of their rewards voucher following this year's successful Black Country Ales 'Real Ale Trail', The Landlady and Landlord took a stroll down to the ode stompin' ground of Shell Corner Village to the place they first met 'all them years agoo' (and this year's nominated watering hole) - namely The Swan Inn - resulting in a very fruitful couple of hours along with a 'Bertie' presentation to the very helpful staff member, Jack, who catered for their every needs!🍺😋🧷
This was followed by the very short amble down the road to our friends at Double Tops Micro Bar in recognition of the first anniversary of their opening (not to mention our then first visit) and to cast an eye over the recently extended bar & darts area, all as a result of a very successful & hard-working first 12 months... "Well done Ryan & Lauren"🎯🎂👍

August 2026 - Despite another successful month, it's well documented that we made a decision a few years ago to 'retire' the August 'Golden Belly' and 'POTM' award, dedicating it to remembering the farewells and memories of Far Post Legends, 'Bert and His Queen' 🫂👑❤️💙
Sadly missed, forever remembered and Farever re-united in the Farthest Post of them all, we lovingly say "Continue to rest easy... and have as many on The Post as you jolly well like!'' TLMS YNWA 🙏🌈🍺🍷🏡
