Island opened it's door in September 2006. Island is not your typical cocktail bar; set up on DIY ethics with the intention of injecting a little glamour, a lot of soul and absolutely no pretension into the Birmingham nightlife scene, the bar has proved a real hit. We've taken away all of the stuffy nonsense of traditional cocktail bars, instead preferring to focus on what matters - the cocktails. You won't find any packet mixes or pitchers of slosh here, just real cocktails made individually by hand by our experts. We've won numerous awards and accolades from the Birmingham Bar and Club awards, Night Times and we voted one of the top 50 bars in the UK by the Independent on Sunday. Our upstairs function room is also Birmingham's first Tiki Bar. A tropical paradise which is open regularly for you to enjoy our specially designed Tiki menu full of Polynesian inspired fruit cocktails and over 50 different kinds of rum. It can also be hired out for free (subject to a deposit and minimum spend) for you to celebrate in style.
