The next phase of The Red Lion begins here…

Our launch week is fast approaching and you’re all invited! We’ve got a loaded schedule for the first week starting with doors opening at 5pm on Tuesday 14th. From then on it’s nothing but vibes, pints and pizza from 12pm daily, seven days a week!

Here’s a breakdown of what’s to come…

💥Tuesday 14th - doors open at 5pm
💥Friday 17th - FREE PIZZA FROM 5PM* followed by a live performance by 🕺
💥Saturday 18th - 90’s 2000’s vinyl DJ set from 2pm followed by a live performance by Fiona Faye 🪩
💥Sunday 19th - Funk / Soul vinyl DJ set from 5pm, World Cup final 8pm ⚽️

PLUS WE ARE GIVING A FREE PINT FOR EACH OF THE FIRST TWENTY GUESTS THROUGH THE DOOR EVERY DAY FROM 14TH - 19TH 🍻🍻🍻🍻

Meet Tori 👋

You've already met George... now it's time to introduce the other half of our landlord team.

Tori's journey with Joule's actually started as a customer. Growing up in Shrewsbury, Joule's pubs were where she'd meet family and friends, so taking a part-time job at the White Horse seemed like a pretty good idea.

Safe to say, she never left.

One part-time job turned into a career doing what she loves most – bringing people together. Whether it's planning the next event, looking after the team or making sure everyone feels welcome, Tori loves creating pubs that people want to come back to.

One of the highlights? Getting the chance to run the Henry Tudor Inn, a pub she'd spent many Christmas Eves, Sunday lunches and celebrations in long before she was behind the bar.

Now, alongside continuing at the Henry Tudor Inn, she's taking on an exciting new chapter with George as they prepare to open the Red Lion in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

She can't wait to welcome you through the doors. 🍻

Meet George 👋

With the Red Lion opening just around the corner, it’s time to introduce you to one half of our landlord team.

George’s journey with Joule’s started in the most unexpected way. While working in Liverpool, he got chatting to a Joule’s landlord over a pint. They spent hours talking about the brewery, the pubs and what made Joule’s different. A couple of weeks later, George made the trip to Market Drayton to see it for himself... and never really looked back.

He moved to Shropshire, joined the Joule’s family and has spent the last few years building pubs that people genuinely love spending time in. Ask anyone who’s visited one of George’s pubs and they’ll tell you the same thing – they’re welcoming, full of life, and feel like they’re at the heart of the community.

Now, together with Tori, he’s getting ready to write the next chapter at the Red Lion in the Jewellery Quarter.

We’ll be introducing the other half of our landlord team, Tori, on Thursday, so keep an eye out to meet her too.

We can’t wait for you to meet them both.

🚨 THE COUNTDOWN IS ON 🚨

The Red Lion Jewellery Quarter reopens on 14th July 2026 🍻

And with opening day now officially in sight, it's time for us to properly introduce ourselves...

We're George and Tori, and we'll be the team behind the next chapter of The Red Lion.

Over the past few months we've been working alongside Joule's Brewery as this incredible historic pub has been lovingly restored, and we're so excited to finally start sharing what we've been working on.

From brewery-fresh Joule's beer and Château Bessan wines to Quarter Slice pizza, the Beer Courtyard, rooftop terrace and plenty of cosy corners to settle into, we can't wait to throw open the doors and welcome everyone in.

More than anything, we're looking forward to becoming part of the Jewellery Quarter community.

Thank you to everyone who's followed the journey so far. We're nearly there.

We're delighted to announce that George and Tori will be taking the helm at The The Red Lion, Jewellery Quarter as we prepare to reopen this summer.

Many of you will already know George and Tori from their fantastic work at and Shrewsbury, where they've built a reputation for creating welcoming pubs full of character, great hospitality and community spirit.

Now, they're bringing that same passion to Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter.

As the finishing touches are made to our £500,000 restoration, George and Tori are already hard at work helping shape the next chapter of this much-loved pub. From brewery-fresh beer and Château Bessan wines to great food, warm welcomes and plenty of reasons to return, they're excited to create a proper neighbourhood pub at the heart of the community.

The countdown is on.
