And so our time at The Railway, Billingshurst has come to an end. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out and partied with us on our last night and the whole of the last 7 days 7 bands event! We have been made to feel so loved and this has definitely helped us navigate this really hard time. Thank you to Paul, Paul and Paul’s Dad for playing us out in the most fantastic and memorable way! So on behalf of Stella, Ian, Alexis, Martin, Nathan, Trudy and James, it’s been a pleasure to have you all as part of our lives for such a long time!
Ladies and Gentlemen … THE KINGS HAVE LEFT THE BUILDING!! (Drops the mic!)

And so the day has arrived! Tonight we reach the end of the line and we welcome Paul and Paul, HALF A HORSE APIECE (well almost) to play us out in style, live from 8.30pm. After 40 years, it’s the last day that my family are running The Railway, Billingshurst! Firstly I’d like to thank all the bands who have taken part if 7 bands in 7 days! No Angel, The Ed Miller Band, The Vincents, Willie Austen and Paul Stenton, Iron TYGER and Stuart Brand, you have all knocked it out of the park…. Thank you! To all our staff over the years, you have been amazing, thank you for your hard work and support! To our amazing customers, no, friends!! Without you, we would not have made 40 years, your support, custom and most importantly, friendship, has been the lifeblood that has spurred us on through the hard times and the good! So to you all, Thank you, thank you, thank you! We will be going one more time tonight, so I hope to see you all at the bar! Love you all!!!

So, with the buffers fast approaching, and the dust settling following a storming gig by Iron Tyger last night, we approach our penultimate gig in our final seven days seven bands event! tonight we welcome back to the corner another local legend, Man who has played at the railway in many different forms for many many years, the wonderful STUART BRAND! He will be rocking the corner live from 8:30 pm.

Day 5 of 7 Bands in 7 Days has dawned, thank you to the amazing Willie Austen and Paul Stenton who played a fantastic set last night!! Tonight we welcome 80’s rock tribute IRON TYGER!! Wall to wall stadium anthems live from 8.30pm!!

So… day 4 of 7 days 7 bands at The Railway, Billingshurst, and after a storming set from the fabulous Vincent’s yesterday afternoon, the baton is passed along again to the legendary WILLIE AUSTEN AND PAUL STENTON! They will be hitting the corner this evening live from 8.30pm, keeping the party well and truly flying!

And so it continues! 7 bands in 7days! After a storming performance from The Ed Miller Band last night, the baton is now passed onto THE VINCENTS! This quirky fun trio, who, in various guises, have played in The Railway for many many years, will be playing from 2-4pm, our last Sunday lunch service is from 12-3pm and the bar is open 12-6pm!!

7 bands in 7 days! Thanks to No Angel for a storming start to this musical extravaganza last night! Today it’s a double header, first, at 5pm, it’s the final MEAT DRAW, £1 a ticket and fab prizes to be won! Then at 9pm it’s band 2/7, THE ED MILLER BAND!!! They will be ripping up some classic tunes, live in the corner, so don’t miss this fab night!! They first played here as Beatroute, their first gig as a band, built a stage to perform on, a first for The Rails, then changed their name, and have been going from strength to strength. The Railway has never been afraid to offer new acts a place to start from, everyone needs a shot to follow the dream!
