Cocktail of the week and more @ The Crown Inn, Biggar.

This week we have the Electric Iced Tea!

A mix that will definitely kickstart your weekend!

Vodka, Gin, Tequila, Bacardi & Blue Curacao with fresh lime and topped with lemonade! It's delicious!

We wanted to spotlight some of our new awesome dishes on our menu!

Chicken Parpadelle Pasta!

Pan seared chicken breast on a bed of parpadelle pasta made with mushrooms, bacon, spinach, garlic, onion, cream & parmesan. Garnished with crispy onions, peashoots, spring onion & parmesan.

This has been our most popular dish since it launched last Friday.

Other favourites have been our garlic wings, our beautiful pan seared cod and our new and fun Big "Mac" Burger topped with a bacon mac n cheese!

We are delighted to welcome Volksfling back for another amazing bank holiday weekend! Hopefully the sun will be shining! Beer garden is looking great and ready for the weekend!

We have live music from 9.30pm on Saturday with the Lauren Dalgleish band.

Our cocktail of the week this week is the classic Mojito!

A zesty blend of Havana Especial, Fresh Lime, Gomme, Mint and crushed ice. Delicious!

We have a Stewart Brewing tap takeover! If Ale is not your choice then we have a fantastic range of draught products, wines, spirits and cocktails to enjoy!

Our amazing chef's have been working hard developing some awesome new items for our lunch & main menus.

Launching at 5pm tonight we have some tasty additions to our menu.

Lunch

We are delighted to introduce our new posh toastie range!

Choose from Mac n cheese with crispy bacon, chicken tikka & cheese, tuna mayo & red onion, hand cut ham & cheddar or vegan haggis with vegan cheese. All on toasted tiger bloomer with petit salad, pipers crisps and truffle mayo dip. Gluten free toasties available too!

Main Menu

Lots of new dishes on our main menu. Our favourites so far are the salt & chilli calamari, chicken parpadelle pasta, the ultimate vegan burger and the Crown Inn "spice" bowl.

Salted Caramel Espresso Martini.

A delicious and sophisticated version of the classic Espresso Martini. Salted caramel vodka, kahlua coffee liquor and fresh espresso shaken and double strained to create this sweet and indulgent cocktail.

Our awesome chef's have created some lovely specials for this weekend.

Pan seared fillet of Scottish salmon with a rice, peppers, onions, spring onions, soy sauce, chilli and cajun fried rice. Garnished with spring onions and pea shoots. Perfect with a pint of West 4!

Fillet of beef strips marinaded in soy sauce & Asian spices pan seared with broccoli & carrots. Served with a spicy Szechuan curry sauce. steamed rice & prawn crackers. Pairs perfectly with a crisp glass of Pinot Grigio.

The Raspberry Caiprinha!

A tropical blend of Brazilian sugar cane spirit, raspberry liquor, fresh lime and simple syrup! Fruity and packs a punch!

For the specials this weekend we've hedged our bets!!

We have a warming and hearty Scottish venison casserole with creamed mash and tenderstem broccoli and just in case it's roasting we have a delicious Greek inspired summer salad with feta, spicy olives and a beautiful mixed salad!

The Raspberry Sol Martini!
A delicious and sweet blend of tequila, Chambord, peach puree and pineapple juice! Perfect for a sunny day!

Our chefs have created some tasty specials for this weekend.
A beautiful Scottish smoked salmon starter served with a fresh mixed leaves salad and rich truffle mayo.
A much requested return of our Head Chef Stephanie's fillet of beef stroganoff! Tender strips of beef fillet simmered in her famous stroganoff sauce, served with steamed rice and paired perfectly with a pint of Staropramen!
Last but not least, Chinese Chilli Chicken Curry. Succulent crispy breaded chicken marinated and simmered in our Chinese style curry sauce, served with steamed rice and prawn crackers! Also a returning favourite.

This week we've gone fruity with our cocktail!

The Orchard Melon Fizz.

A fruity blend of archers peach schnapps, midori melon liquor, fresh lemon juice and sloe gin topped with lemonade! It's sweet, fun and zesty!

We have some awesome specials this weekend for you all to enjoy.

Salt & Chilli Calamari with truffle mayo dip that pairs perfectly with a chilled glass of pinot grigio.

Head chef Stephanie's sweet & sour crispy chicken with steamed rice and prawn crackers. Great with a pint of Staropramen.

Spicy nduja, smoked salmon and king prawn rigatoni. Perfect with a glass of Malbec or a pint of West 4!

Sunday Carvery

If you are looking for the best carvery ever (people have definitely told us this!) then join us this Sunday and enjoy our 1, 2 or 3 course carvery deal.

A delicious and delicate blend of elderflower, gin, prosecco, soda, mint & lime! Perfect for a sunny day!

Chef has created some tasty specials for this weekend.

A beautiful Scottish smoked salmon starter with crispy rocket & a lemon and caper mayo. This matches perfectly with The Hugo Spritz!

A creamy and moreish chicken parpadelle pasta, perfect with a glass of pinot or a pint of peroni!

Making a return is the slow cooked short rib of beef with a cheddar dauphinoise and tenderstem. Pairs perfectly with a glass of malbec or a pint of guinness!

Easter Weekend at The Crown Inn, Biggar

Our Cocktail of the Week is a real treat -
the Mini Egg Espresso Martini! It’s a sweet and indulgent blend of vanilla vodka, kahlua coffee liqueur, chocolate Bailey’s cream liqueur and freshly brewed espresso!

We will be sharing our selection of weekend specials tomorrow, but why not book in for our Sunday carvery in the meantime! Perfectly roasted meats, all the trimmings, and those all-important roasties. You don’t want to miss it!
