Important Announcement.
We are absolutely devastated to let you all know that on Wednesday 7th October we will be closing our doors.
It’s been a really emotional and difficult decision and one that we hoped to never have to make.
We’ve worked so hard and given everything to make our family business a success. We’ve given all our time, effort, love and money to try and make it work.
We made a decision to expand and open another site last April. This didn’t work out the way we wanted it to and left us in a really difficult & precarious financial position. Couple that with the increases in costs that all hospitality businesses are facing it has left us now in a position that we cannot afford to and are unable to stay open.
We are so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of The Crown Inn’s history. It is, in our opinion, the best pub in the world in the best town. It has given us over the last 15 years so much joy & fun and for us personally it is where we met, annoyed each other enough to fall in love and have now got the most amazing family.
We must say thank you to all the wonderful staff we have had the pleasure to work with over the years. They are the reason The Crown is loved by so many people and we will miss spending our days with them. Thank you all so much.
If you have any outstanding vouchers please use these before next week. We will be in touch with all future reservations we have to personally inform them.
We will be running a reduced menu as we near closing.
Our final thank you is to all the people who have enjoyed the pub over the years. Your custom, conversation and company is what made the pub so special.
