Welcome to Crabby Dicks...simply the best bar off the high street. Centrally located, Crabby Dicks is a lively stylish bar with a welcoming atmosphere and dance floor, making it the perfect environment for a fun night out on the town. Ever since he was just a little Dick, Crabby roamed the streets of Bideford itching to create his own legacy. As Crabby got bigger, he knew he had to find his mate.
There was only one she-crab for Crabby and her name was Anita. Anita was also well known
by the local sailors that came in on the Kathleen and May and docked at the quay. You see, Anita had been “around The Block" and was regularly seen with with Seaman Staines and often Master Bates. As fate would have it Crabby and Anita were wed by Ivanna Humpalot and the Dick Family Tree was rooted. Soon there were little Dicks all over the place. Crabby and Anita had 2 sons, Harry Dick, Seymour Dick and three daughters, Ivana Dick, Lotta Dick and Ophelia Dick. Ophelia Dick was best friends with Tess Tickle and often were seen playing with Stella Virgin. Crabby asked his cousin, Curly Dick (who by the way has created the secret recipe Seamen Sauce),
how he could create the Crabby Dick Legacy. Curly just shrugged his claws and kept dipping his balls. Crabby set out to seek Hung Lo Dick, Crabby’s relation from the East of the Water. He was the source of wisdom and the wisest dick of all. He was very old and very wise. He advised Crabby, " To create
a legacy, you must live a good life, treat all people with the respect that you expect for yourself and wear your name proudly. When you achieve this, you will achieve your legacy." Crabby thanked Hung Lo for his wisdom and thought long and hard about what the old crab had said. ".....and wear your name proudly." And it
finally came to him...Soon Crabby Dicks could be seen in Cooper Street Bideford and was soon known as a great place to go if you’re itching for a great night out!
