🍺🍺🍺🙌🙌🙌
Well this is something we don’t usually shout about…
We’re not one for awards and don’t enter competitions and all that. For us taste is subjective and something to be enjoyed by the individual, if you enjoy it and it resonates with you then great, if it’s not for you that’s fine too! There are so many great breweries and producers and we’re just happy to be making something that is enjoyed by others… of course sometimes things go wrong, chillers break, infections can take hold, you miss the mark with a recipe, the hops don’t arrive… the mash temperature is just off… etc.. etc… BUT sometimes… sometimes you make something you know is rather special AND sometimes you know it’s going to be really enjoyed… AND sometimes others let you know they really enjoyed it!
So a big thank you to our friends Brickmakers 27brickmakers for awarding us for our Schwarzbier in their annual beer festival! Part of our Sussex Fassbier range and a beer that truly reflects what we’re trying to o with this series of brews… celebrations of classic European styles with a mix of the best local and European ingredients we can get our hands on… brewed for cask! If you haven’t enjoyed a pint at The Brickmakers get yourself down there, one of the finest cask beer purveyors on the South coast…
And I guess it’s probably right to mention Moosey who wrote the recipe, brewed it, conditioned it and packaged it... the brewing team himself, the engine, the eternal optimist… for a brewer who loves a NEIPA who makes a mean dark beer, well done Moose, you’re alright you.
We still have bottles of this brew if you haven’t tried it yet so head down to threthreelegs.taproom or thethreelegs.hiest and grab one before they go… and keep your eyes peeled for a new brew landing in the new year.
Cheers everyone, we’ll be enjoying a pint this weekend to celebrate!
