🎭Tomorrow night Clap Trap Theatre return to ERT with their new production 'The Wreckers'

Two friends rent an idyllic cottage on a peninsula that gets cut off by the tide. The friends’ hope for a much-needed break soon unravels as, eerily, they discover the cottage was built from the hull of a boat, lured onto the rocks by wreckers… wreckers who killed the boat’s crew and looted its cargo.

The peninsula is haunted by a child who was drowned that day, and she’s been waiting over a hundred and fifty years for her revenge.

And now, finally, the time has come.

🎶The Juno award winning composer, arranger, producer, conductor, Duane Andrews and his band The Hot Club of Conception Bay are coming to East Riding Theatre on the 17th November 2026

Duane Andrews casts a wide net in the musical ocean. Uniting what would seem to be impossible – traditional Newfoundland music with the swing jazz of the legendary two fingered guitarist Django Reinhardt, Andrews makes it not just work – he makes it soar.

The Juno award winning composer, arranger, producer, conductor and globetrotting performer’s latest album is the best evidence yet of his inimitable musical vision and is the sound of him, literally, bringing it all back home.

It's Christmas in Edwardian England. The carols are playing and the halls are decked. Siblings Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis are having an absolute hoot. But when their father is whisked away under dark and mysterious circumstances, the festive cheer is rapidly snuffed out. They must leave behind the comfort they know and move to a cold, damp cottage in the Yorkshire hills.

As this adventurous trio adapt to their new surroundings, they find themselves enchanted by the local railway and its collection of larger than life inhabitants.
Amidst fighting fires, saving lives and getting more than reasonably dirty, the children never cease to think of their father. What really happened to him? And will they ever spend another Christmas together?

Don’t miss this heartwarming tale of family bonds, jeopardy, and how friendship and loyalty can help you find your way home. Based on E. Nesbit's classic children's tale, this is the perfect treat this Christmas to spread magic and joy.
