Our amazing community has bought the pub and we're open! You can now book our restaurant online using the Contact Us link below.

Our wonderful village has bought the pub and we are now open as a community business. Our kitchen under our Head Chef Jim Miles offers food 6 days a week Tuesday to Sunday, including our fabulous Sunday Roasts! Our cafe is open 10.00-12.00 Monday to Friday, with hot drinks and locally made cakes available throughout the day.

We had a sensationally spooky afternoon at The George today with our annual Halloween trail starting and ending at the pub. Lots of ghouls and ghosts joined the pumpkin party and the tasty treats were a welcome delight at the end - thanks to Avril and Barbara. And a big thanks to Pete for stewarding, as well, to everyone in Bethersden that pulled the stops out with the decorations and treats. Same time next year? 🎃👻🎃👻🎃

Our hot honey fried chicken with pickled veg tastes as good as it looks and is just bursting with flavour. And the pan fried salmon has all the lightness of a fish dish but, with roasted ratte potatoes and braised fennel, it's a truly warming main course.
