There are big achievements…and then there’s standing on top of Mount Everest!
Massive congratulations to Crossmaglen’s own Sarah Armstrong, who has made history by successfully summiting the world’s highest mountain!
Reaching the 29,000ft peak, Sarah becomes only the third person from Armagh to stand on the highest point on Earth. And she’s not done yet…she’s now also the youngest Irish woman on track to complete the legendary Seven Summits challenge!
Raising funds for causes close to home, Sarah proved that even the biggest personal goals can be rooted in community and a reminder that no matter where you go - you carry a bit of home with you!

In Northern Ireland, tea isn’t just a drink…it’s our unofficial superpower!
Did you know that each person in Ireland consumes approximately 4-6 cups a day - that’s 2.36kg of tea annually!
Big news? Put the kettle on.
Bad news? Definitely put the kettle on.
Awkward meeting? Tea will sort it out.
It’s one of those wee comforts that keeps us close and connected - no matter where we are in the world.
Nai…stick the kettle on and read all about NI's love affair with the cuppa! https://www.niconnections.com/news/international-tea-day

For Toronto-based sisters Rebecca and Dr Natalie Davey, storytelling is all about connection.
Through their company, Ceres Productions, they’ve built a creative world spanning podcasts, film, TV and live events bringing people together from Northern Ireland, Canada and beyond.
What started as a casual podcast (Reframeables) is now 100 episodes deep, with big-name guests and new projects taking shape including a short film set for the Galway Film Fleadh.
But at the heart of it all? Community, collaboration…and a wee bit of Northern Irish humour.

You might have moved away…but let’s be honest...Northern Ireland never really leaves you, does it?
The accent sticks. The tea debates get stronger. And somehow, no matter where you are, NI is never that far away.
The good news? Staying connected to home doesn’t rely on flight deals or the once-a-year visit anymore. Here are five easy (and very NI) ways to keep that connection strong – wherever you’re based 👇

Did you know....
Sir James Murray from Co Derry~Londonderry was a Northern Irish physician, whose research into digestion led to his creation of the stomach aid Milk of Magnesia in 1809.
Milk of Magnesia…invented here. Of course it was. Is there anything we can’t turn our hand to?
