We’ve been a little quiet since the end of November… but only because we’ve been busy stirring things up behind the scenes 😏

With The Bear & Bells now reopening under new management, this page is entering a brand-new era — same familiar spirit, but with a fresh identity and lots of exciting events coming your way in and around Beccles 🎤🍻✨

From pop-up nights to crowd-pleasers and a few surprises we’re not quite ready to spill just yet… this page is where you’ll want to be to stay in the loop.

✨ A Final Thank You from Us at The Bear & Bells ✨

As many of you know, we’ve only ever been here on a temporary basis — stepping in to keep The Bear & Bells open, welcoming, and full of life while its future was being decided. And from day one, the plan was always that our time here would eventually come to an end.

Around two weeks ago, after a lot of thought (and even more cups of coffee), we made the decision to move on. With the brewery still unable to confirm the long-term future of the pub, we felt this was the right moment to step back and allow whatever comes next to take shape.

Over the past few months, we’ve laughed, grafted, and poured our hearts into this place. From quiz victories and karaoke chaos to the quiet evenings with our regulars, you’ve given this pub a spark that we’ll never forget.

Thank you for supporting us, trusting us, and making The Bear & Bells feel like a true community space. The warmth you’ve shown us — and each other — is exactly what kept these doors open.

We’re proud of what we’ve achieved.
We’re grateful for every memory.
And we’re excited for what’s next… because trust us, we’re not done with hospitality yet. 😉

A Quiet Update for Our Regulars

After yesterday’s incident on Saturday 22nd November, we just wanted to let our usual crowd know that the pub will be open tonight — but we’re keeping things low-key.

Everything has been checked over, the team is alright, and we’re simply easing back into the evening with a quieter atmosphere for those who just want a pint, a chat, and a bit of normality.

Thanks to everyone who reached out — your support means a lot.
If you’re popping in later, we’ll see you then. ❤️🍻

⚠️ Important Notice — Saturday 22nd November ⚠️

Due to an incident involving the police that occurred at the pub this afternoon, we will be closed for the rest of tonight (Saturday 22nd November).

Everyone is safe, and the situation has been handled, but we need the evening to deal with follow-up actions and ensure everything is in order before reopening.
