Medicine Music in conjunction with iMTv -international Moose TV Introduced “The Moose Hollow Arena” for Belladrum Festival in 2022, collated by Potting Shed Stage honcho Belladrum veteran Rob Ellen. Rob says I’m delighted to announce Moose Hollow will be back this year again. Moose Hollow brings the old Potting Shed stage to The Trailer Trash stage and Medicine Music will again be programming both stages to run in tandem & to complement each other (as is our tradition) ! To that end The Trailer Trash “Saloon Stage” will as ever be the place for Country Music & The Potting Shed Stage/ Moose Stage as ever for exploring the roots and shoots of Americana. Following the recently broadcast wndrfl interview with Cowboy Poet BJ Smith, I took his advice and take advantage of his work and that of the good folk of Swalwell, to attend a home spun down home evening of western song, stories and (bad jokes) in the company of BJ's Rancher Cowboy Crooner friend Tom Cole and some 150 + engaged and enthralled locals.

Tom Cole is a Canadian cowboy singer-songwriter based in Charlie Lake/Fort St. John, British Columbia, known for his original country and roots music as well as tribute shows honoring artists like Merle Haggard. You can learn more about his music and updates on his website at www.tomcole.net

BJ is a prominent Canadian cowboy poet, author, horse trainer, and backcountry guide based here. Known for his authentic and humorous storytelling, his work reflects a lifetime spent living the traditional Western lifestyle.

What better guid to the culture - today I get to not only meet a for real ranger poet but also a life time retired career Mounty.

BJ is a prominent Canadian cowboy poet, author, horse trainer, and backcountry guide based in here. Known for his authentic and humorous storytelling, his work reflects a lifetime spent living the traditional Western lifestyle.

​Horsemanship & Guiding: Certified Equine Canada coach, wilderness guide, and horse trainer who has led pack trips through the Rocky Mountains and taught backcountry skills courses like The Wilderness Wrangler at Olds College.
​Awards: Recipient of the Academy of Western Artists Will Rogers Award for Best Cowboy Poetry CD of the Year, alongside a Silver Buckle from the National Cowboy Poetry Rodeo.
