After an absence of a few years, we were delighted to rejoin the Almondell League—and what a way to return by winning Section 1 and Finals Day!
This is a fabulous achievement for our club and all our bowlers. A huge well done to everyone who played their part and helped make it such a memorable season.
We’re back… and look out, 2027!

Finals Day is almost here, and once all the teams have been confirmed, I will be posting those on here.

Heres the numbers for the season for our 4 finalists Glenmavis Bowling Club Bathgate , Blackburn Bowling Club, Winchburgh Bowling Club and West Calder Bowling Club

Tomorrow night sees our League decider, with Section 1 winners Glenmavis Bowling Club Bathgate , who came from 4th on the final day to win the section, playing against Winchburgh Bowling Club, who have been top from game 1 to game 13, with maximum points and a healthy shots difference.

Here are the teams for tomorrow night, for the first of 2 trophies on offer this weekend. Good luck to both teams tomorrow night.

Section 1 has been a very close league all season, with 4 teams still in the hunt going into tomorrow's games.

Despite being 4th in the league, its very much in Glenmavis Bowling Club Bathgate 's hands. Its the same scenario as Blackburn, win and reach finals day. Sounds easy except they are away to Blackburn in the final day of the season.

Charity Fundraiser being held in the club on the 7th of November 3pm to Midnight .
This is to help raise funds for Reach a non-profit charity where we support families, parents, carers and children with additional support needs.
This will be a fantastic day/evening with a Drag Show, Dj, Soul & Motown Singer from the West End and also from The Soul Kings.
Drag Bingo, Play Your Cards Right, Raffles and of course a Buffet to keep you all going....

A big well done to the young generation this morning having their first game of bowls taught by John! They did amazing and keen to get back at it next week 🥰

Children or youngsters are welcome to join us next Thursday at 12 noon taken by our wonderful Ally to learn the way of bowling
