The Curfew

So that’s us done!

As you can imagine, this has been an emotional rollercoaster couple of day because the love we have for all of you and The Curfew is overwhelming.

Our time and era at The curfew has come to an end, and we feel privileged to have been custodians of it for our time.

We are going to miss all the wonderful and amazing people we call friends, past and present.
Our amazing team who over the years have become family to us.
And “our house in the middle of the street” that we called home for the last 3 years.
We leave happy knowing that The Curfew will not be another forgotten pub turned into flats & we wish it all the best for the future & hope that it continues to be the amazing local that you all have made it.

It’s time now not to say goodbye, but to say see you all soon

As a lot of you are probably aware, our time at The Curfew is drawing to a close on the 1st September, yes I know your all super sad BUT keep the tears for our leaving party we will come to that in a minute!

We would first like to thank all the staff we have had over the past 3 years and everyone who over the years that have supported us through thick and thin, put smiles on our faces with your terrible jokes, played our board games, introduced your friends to us and simply was here to support this amazing pub. You are all superstars and we will miss you all dearly.

We started almost 3 years ago, battled through covid restrictions just 3 months into our time here, then massive energy price hikes, BUT that doesn’t matter we came out the other side and continued to open our doors which made us incredibly proud.

When we first got here we didn’t know what to expect, we were nervous wondering what The Curfew has in store for us and who we would meet and do you know what…. We could not have met a nicer bunch of people if we tried!!!
Each and every one of you have supported us and helped us grow this little pub into a very special place.

So, on to the fun bit! OUR LEAVING PARTY

Our final day opening will be on the 1st september and we would like to invite you all to come along so we can say goodbye to you all.

PLUS we need to sell some alcohol! 😅🥂

If you cannot make the leaving party we would love to see you over the next couple of weeks to issue you with a heartfelt apology for having to put up with Jamie for the last 3 years! 😂

Our sister pub The Rose & Crown Pucklechurch is having a FREE music festival this weekend called Puckle-fest

They have an amazing line up of music and kid’s entertainment, and are raising fund for Pucklechurch CE VC Primary school.

In honor of our dear friend Peter.

If you had visited us here at the curfew in the past couple of years you may have met Peter - he loved to chat. He was a humble and grateful man to everyone that made him feel welcome. He would always mention that supplying him with something as little as a ramp gave him a little bit more freedom, and boy did he use it! With that little gesture it enabled him to make some amazing friends!

Peter had let's say a slightly crude sence of humor but a laugh that would light a room. We wouldn't have changed a single thing about him.

Peter will be missed dearly by all that met him and everyone at the curfew.

You were one of a kind.

May you rest in peace Peter.
