The South Wales Big Band Society was formed in 2004, and as its title suggests, exists to perpetuate the very best of musical genre's. Big Band music from the 40s to the present day is encapsulated in all we do, while small group jazz with local musicians and top flight artists from the world of the popular song, add the touch of sophistication. The ambiance of our concert room is the envy of many

, and to a man, and even woman, musicians hail our hospitality and welcome (as) second to none. The SWBBS extends a warm welcome to all those, young or mature, who think as we do, and who wish to relive some of those golden memories of a bygone age .Membership is free and a members email is sent giving details of events and news.

A musical feast was served up tonight (Tues 9th June) at SWBBS Lysaught Institute By the Swingcopation Big Band and some fabulous vocals by the Toodle Pips and Jo Stevens. What an evening. Great programme fantastic playing by the Band and superb vocals. They will return!. Next Weeks we host the Morriston Big Band with the lovely Jenny Jones. Come on down!
