Epic Comedy takes ownership of the wonderful Laughter-House Basingstoke

Last night Paul had the honour of hosting a club in Basingstoke started by the magnificent Jannie Jack over 16 years ago. It was a very special night because it was Jannie’s farewell show. The room was packed and filled with much laughter, and a few tears. Jannie has done an incredible job of building and maintaining a top level comedy club, setting the way for many that have come after her. It’s now time for her and husband Jacko to enjoy a well earned retirement in the Yorkshire Dales.

That’s not where the story ends for the comedy club however… Jannie approached Paul back in the summer, having identified Epic Comedy as the club she wanted to be the custodian of this marvellous legacy. Of course it was the easiest of decisions to make and we can not wait to continue Jannie’s great work!

Huge thanks go to Jannie, her team and everyone who came last night. We shall work tirelessly to ensure this legacy lasts another 16 years.

We are all very sad to see Jan Jack leave but here legacy is this fantastic comedy club. Epic Comedy are very proud to be carrying on Jan's great work and our first show is going to be EPIC! We have a double headliner special starring NATHAN CATON and TOM DEACON. With support from Elain Fellows!
