About Us
The Old Moor Tavern is a friendly, popular pub and restaurant in the heart of Broomhill, serving great food, real ales, and warm hospitality to locals and visitors alike. We’re looking for a welcoming, reliable person to join our front-of-house team.
Hours
• 25–30 hours per week (part-time, permanent)
• Extra hours available when covering holidays & busy periods
• Days, evenings & weekends required — flexibility essential
The Role
You’ll be the face of the pub — greeting customers, taking orders, serving drinks & food, and keeping our bar and dining areas clean and welcoming. You’ll work as part of a tight-knit team and also run shifts confidently on your own.
What We’re Looking For
• ✅ Great customer service skills — friendly, approachable, and happy to chat
• ✅ Confident working alone AND in a team
• ✅ Reliable & punctual — we can’t run without you!
• ✅ Smart appearance & positive attitude
• ✅ Previous bar / hospitality experience preferred — but happy to train the right person
• ✅ Must be 18+ due to alcohol service
Key Duties
• Greeting and seating customers
• Serving drinks and food at bar and tables
• Taking payments & handling cash/card transactions
• Keeping bar, tables, and areas clean and tidy
• Helping set up and close down the pub
• Supporting the team during busy service times
