One here for the Michael Jackson fans…..
yea I’ve had this record a million times and it’s usually £20 at best. It’s a masterpiece and sold by the bucket load…
However this one is slightly more special…
Deep dive into the technical stuff. Keep with me..
This version is an archival-grade, Near Mint (NM) 1979 Canadian first-pressing. (FE 35745).
What makes this specific copy so special for collectors is the matching 1A / 1A double-master matrix etching (AL-35745-1A-2HZ / BL-35745-1A-2HZ) stamped into the dead wax.
This earliest first-generation lacquer cut guarantees the presence of the rare, original 1979 studio mixes—meaning you hear Rock With You completely without the later overdubbed handclaps, alongside the raw, unedited mixes of Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough and Off the Wall. Preserved with virtually zero physical wear to the vinyl, it is the ultimate, definitive copy of a pop masterpiece.
So there you go. You want the top 1% of one of the greatest pop records of all time then this is the one….
25 years buying records I’ve never had a copy as good.
Yea it’s £100 but it’s a rare masterpiece.
First dibs on this one??
