TVs and mobiles take a back seat here, this is a place to chat and connect with others. Pool table, darts, dominos and juke box. Bowes Social Club is a former CIU Affiliated Working Men's Club in the heart of Bowes Village. A small, quaint licensed venue with a homely open fire and where social interaction gets priority over big screen TVs and mobile phones. Whilst we have a membership system, it

isn't mandatory to be a member. We like to keep things simple, a great range of drinks (which always includes a hand pull ale) all at reasonable prices. The club is host to 2x pool teams, 2x darts teams, 2x dominos (5's and 3's) teams and 2x quoits teams. Coffee mornings, quiz nights, music quiz and other events are held on a regular basis.

After a lovely Spring day, what could be better than calling in to for a pint and a chat. The current hand pull ale is Dizzy Blonde an Amarillo Pale Ale from at 3.8% and very tasty it is too.

The club will be open tonight as there is a domino's match taking place. However, the club will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday this week. Keep an eye on this page and in the noticeboards for the revised opening times for the club over Spring.
