Summer can still be a fantastic time to stargaze here, particularly for spotting the Milky Way, meteor showers and bright planets. The skies are of course not quite as dark as winter, but we are located within the Northumberland International Dark Sky Park, benefitting from exceptionally low levels of light pollution. Events begin 10pm.

Our immersive planetarium and education space enhance your Summer experience, with guided presentations, virtual journeys through space and interactive astronomy sessions led by our expert team. Each evening, the theme is different so you can tailor your session to your own interests.
