Who misses Clena brunch? 🙋‍♀️

What if i told you that we’d be serving brunch al fresco style on weekends till the end of September? 🥳

We will be open 9-1 on Saturdays and Sundays at serving a small menu of our popular dishes.

🥞 So our pancakes will be making a return. 🥞

🥞 These are blueberry cheesecake pancakes, with extra bacon for a sweet and salty combo. 🥞

🎄 Will be posting a series of how I will be pimping up my Christmas veggies 🎄

Starting with this Crimble classic, SPOUTS

So this controversial veggie to me, is probably the most misunderstood.
Treated right, sprouts can be star of the show.

So to prep these, make sure you peal the outside leafies, and trim the stem down. Slice in halves or quarters if they’re fatties.

Line a baking dish with parchment paper and put the cut side flat on the tray.
Drizzle a small amount of oil (i personally prefer ghee as it has a higher smoke point, but use any oil of your choice), and season with salt and pepper.
Roast in the oven at 190 degrees for 15 mins.
You want them slightly softened and golden.

Then take them out after 15 mins, drizzle balsamic vinegar, oil and honey over them, give them a shake and finish them off in the oven for another 5 mins to caramelise.

To serve just put in a dish and garnish with crispy onions or something crunchy.

All the ingredients and quantities are below⬇️
200g bag or sprouts
2tbsp of ghee/oil for vegan
1tbsp of balsamic vinegar
1tbsp of honey/maple syrup for vegan option
Salt and pepper to season

Korean not “fried” chicken is being played around with 🍱

Only 550 calories, and a total of 58g of protein. 💪
Add a marinaded boiled egg onto it, and you’ve got a winner 🥚

Perfect for gyms, fitness and endurance competitions, and bodybuilding expos.
All the macros will have been worked out for you, ready to put into your fitness tracker, with low calorie and cheat day options available.

As i’ve been on my own fitness journey, i’ve seen how much of a minefield it is to dine out, so i thought i’d simplify it a bit.

Currently studying to qualify in Nutrition and Weight Management Level 3, i have a small background knowledge to be able to curate the perfect balanced “naughty” meals.
There’s also maths involved too, which my nerdy self loves.

On the Protein Package we will also have funky protein shakes too 🧋

How would you feel if you heard that we would be going mobile?

Available for hire for private functions, weddings, private dining, and random pop ups around north wales.

Well, it’s happening.

In the process of designing the ideal packages, be it a wedding breakfast for hens, food festivals, big birthdays or marathons.

Menus will be curated specifically for each event, and will have a wide range of food and prices available for everybody.

We will be offering brunch, naughty nibbles(old clena classics of course), or high protein packages, all designed to the event at hand.

So what we thinking? Should we do it?

So that’s it.

This chapter has come to an end, and what a journey it’s been.

This has not been an easy road, but me personally, i have met some wonderful humans along the way. From everybody that worked in the small caff on the corner, the small helping hands, to the family i have leaving the bar.

We have laughed together and cried together, and i can’t tell you how proud i am to have been able to work with some of these heros. They had my back when i needed it most, they showed kindness, compassion and loyalty.
I wish them all the best in any future venture, and i can’t wait to see what comes next.

A special thank you to all of the customers that came to visit one last time, all the well wishes, thank you card. (Tearing up writing this)

We still have some stuff left to sell, loads of stuff perfect for students, will post videos of what we have left.

But for now, enjoy some behind the scene photos of the gang.
There are quite a few key members missing from these photos, but i’m sure i’ll get sent some of everybody soon!

So, the time is here.

The closing date is decided, and we will be closing our doors for the final time on 28th of August.

So to you, all of our loyal customers, if you want to get in your brunches, lunches, chicken burgers or cocktails, you have until the end of this month before we will stop trading from 12-14 Holyhead Road.

It’s a very sad decision to close at such short notice, but there are factors that have bought our date much nearer than originally anticipated.

Please be kind to all of our staff, they have all been given this sad news too.

So get your tables booked for the final time.
