Unfortunately, the pub is currently closed and awaiting new owners. Many thanks to all those that supported us.

The effect of the draconian Covid restrictions and subsequent cost of living crisis, made it impossible to continue.

A big thank you to those of you who joined us for the New Year's Eve celebrations, it was great fun and a marvellous evening.
Unfortunately, we have now closed the pub temporarily, as, due to the ever increasing energy costs, suppliers costs etc combined with the traditional downturn in business post Christmas, dry January etc it is not even viable to open the doors right now.
We will now re evaluate our business model and make a decision as to the viability going forward of continuing to try and make the business work.

Join us for New Year's Eve celebrations tonight at the Saye and Sele Arms. See out 2022 in a fun lively environment and welcome the New beginnings that 2023 offers.
We have unfortunately been let down at the last moment for live music, so we will have a fun quiz with a quality bottle of wine as a prize. We will also be drawing the raffle in time for two lucky people to have their prizes for the new year.
If you haven't already booked a table, you are too late for a sit down meal tonight, but we will be serving bacon rolls and nibbles free of charge just after midnight so we can really see the new year in with full bellies.
It's your last chance for 2022.

It's our last quiz of the year tonight. Doors open at 5.30pm, discounted quiz night food served from 6.30 pm, quiz starts at 7.30pm.
We will be supporting Helen and Douglas House who support the families of terminally ill children. We will be holding our Christmas Raffle in aid of Katherine House .Hospice in honour of Neal Carter, a regular attendee, who recently lost his wife.
Please come along and help make a difference.

Please, note that we will be closed this evening due to unexpected but unavoidable late notice staff shortages.
We would rather not open if we cannot gI lve the levels of service that you have come to expect. Those that were booked in tonight have been made aware and rebooked to alternative dates.

This week, we are hosting the MG Club (North Oxfordshire Natter Group) on Monday evening from 7.30pm. Anyone with in interest in classic MG's welcome.
We are also holding our Quiz Night which was postponed from last week on Tuesday. Pub open at 5.30pm, Quiz starts at 7.30pm. £2 per person entry, proceeds to go to a local charity of the winning teams choice. Special Quiz Menu.

In light of the sad news of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, we have been flying our Union Flag at half mast today.
As a tribute to her, we are serving her favourite tipple, a gin and dubonnet over ice, which we are calling a "Queen's Salute" for just £5 in order for those who wish to drink a toast to her majesty. That's 75ml of drink for just £5.
Come join us to celebrate the life and reign of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth.

BEAT THE HEAT! Why not enjoy a nice cold beer in the dappled shade of our mature beer garden. We have the pergola, gazebo and covered area, as well as many large umbrellas at the tables so that you can keep your cool. Relax as the summer breeze refreshes you whilst you enjoy your favourite tipple. We're only 3 1/2 miles from the heat of Banbury and next to Broughton Castle if you fancy a walk in the grounds. We also have tables in the sun for the hardcore tanners. Don't take my word for it, take a look at the pictures then come along and see for yourself.
