CONGRATULATIONS to Jacob Annett Davids, who took top honours in Banbridge Golf Club’s Juvenile Captain’s Day on Sunday 6th September with an impressive 38 points. A superb winning score and a result to be proud of—well done, Jacob!

Freddie Shields secured second place, while Angus Bell claimed the gross prize. Alfie Moore took the Division A honours, with Harry Armstrong winning Division B. Ollie Beck won the 18 Hole Yellow competition, and Max Higgins took the 9 Hole Handicap prize.

Congratulations also to Anna McDermott, our Blue Hole winner, and Will McCandless, who claimed the Small Cup. Special recognition goes to Daniel McDermott, named Cadet Golfer of the Year, and Euan Caughey, our Juvenile Golfer of the Year—two fantastic achievements to celebrate.

Well done to all our prize winners and everyone who took part in Juvenile Captain’s Day, with an extra round of applause for Jacob and his winning 38 points!

RONAN RAFFERTY CUP CHAMPIONS!

A massive congratulations to the Banbridge Golf Club Ronan Rafferty team, who defeated Cloverhill Golf Club in the final to bring the trophy home to Banbridge. This is a fantastic achievement by an outstanding group of young golfers who represented the club with tremendous skill, determination and sportsmanship.

The victory is especially significant as it marks the first time Banbridge Golf Club has won the Ronan Rafferty Cup since 1984 - ending a 42-year wait. Every member of the team should be immensely proud of the part they played in this historic success.

What a remarkable year it has been for our juvenile section. Their achievements are a wonderful reflection of the talent coming through the club, as well as the dedication of the coaches, organisers, families and supporters who encourage them throughout the season.

Well done, lads—you have done Banbridge Golf Club proud!

SAM RUTHERFORD TEAM REACH THE FINAL!

Congratulations to the Banbridge Golf Club Sam Rutherford team, who have secured their place in the final following a fantastic performance on Sunday. The team displayed great golf, determination and spirit throughout - a superb achievement by everyone involved.

Banbridge will face Cloverhill Golf Club in a two-leg final. The opening leg will take place away at Cloverhill on Sunday 20 September, with tee-off at 12 noon. The home leg will follow at Banbridge Golf Club on Sunday 27 September, also beginning at 12 noon.

We would love to see plenty of support for the team as they compete for the trophy. Congratulations again to all the players and team officials on reaching the final, and best of luck over both legs—everyone at Banbridge Golf Club is firmly behind you!

A fantastic few days of golf at Banbridge Golf Club!

From the Thursday Open Series to the Sunday Sweep and Scratch Cups, it was great to see so many players out enjoying the course.

A big thank you to everyone who took part, and to Not Just Travel – Alan Caughey for supporting our Thursday Open Series.

Ben Best’s Juvenile Captain’s Day takes place at Banbridge Golf Club on Sunday, 6 September, with tee times available from 12 noon.

The presentation will begin at 5.30pm. Food will also be available, but booking is essential.

Congratulations to Helen C***s, this year's winner of the Malcolmson Cup! A big thank you goes to the competition's sponsors – Suzanne Murfett, Kathleen Smyth, and Valerie and Kathryn Malcolmson – whose generous support helps keep events like this going year after year.
