This beautiful thatched roof pub is a grade II listed building and dates back to 1616 when it was a coaching house known as The Black Horse. An unusual feature of the building is the set of four mounting steps at the front left side. They were used to assist in mounting a horse but are seldom used nowadays! In addition to the usual range of draught and bottled beers you might expect to find, we also have a good range of cask ales.

Due to essential maintenance taking longer than planned, our kitchen will now be closed all day today! 🚫👨🏼‍🔧

The bar is open as normal until 10pm tonight and our Quiz will be on as normal at 8pm tonight🍷🍺

The Kitchen will be open again as normal from tomorrow at 12pm - Sorry for any inconvenience! 🕛🍴🥗
